Global Market Day

Global Market Day (GMD) is an initiative of Arana Hills Church of Christ and is a bi-annual ethical market seeking to create an opportunity for our community to purchase goods and support projects that empower developing communities in Australia and overseas.

GMD aims to raise awareness about how we can use our money and voices to ensure that manufacturers, retailers and governments work together for a more just world. GMD is run as an expression of our experience of God's love and heart for the oppressed and our commitment to serve others.

The church does not benefit financially from GMD, as all stall holder fees are donated back to a project that supports a disadvantaged community in Australia or overseas. All proceeds from this market will be donated to the Compassion Haiti Relief Fund.

Global Market Day is a member of the Queensland Fair Trade Collective and we work closely with many non-governmental organisations including World Vision, Compassion, Vision Generation, TEAR, Micah Challenge and Oxfam.
