Fair Trade Fortnight 2006
Fair Trade Fortnight is the biggest event promoting fair trade in Australia and New Zealand, and runs from 29th April to 13th May.
Already an exciting array of events are being planned, including a speaking tour of coffee farmers from Papua New Guinea and cocoa farmers from Ghana; Connections - Strengthening ties in the fight for fair trade, a trans-Tasman student conference; tastings; public displays and exhibitions; morning teas; the launch of the first Fair Trade Community in Australia / New Zealand; schools seminars; and much more.

Producer Speaker Tour
The highlight of FTF06 will be the speaking tour of two representatives from Kuapa Kokoo, a Fairtrade cocoa producer in Ghana; and two representatives from Highlands Organic Agriculture Cooperative, a Fairtrade coffee producer in Papua New Guinea.

Starbucks Australia
From 2 May - 26 June Starbucks will be featuring via in-store point of sale and displays their new Fairtrade Certified(tm) Blend - Café Estima Blend(tm) as part of our Coffee Passion promotion. During Fair Trade Fortnight Café Estima Blend(tm) will be sampled in all Starbucks Australia stores. Starbucks sells two Fairtrade Certified Coffees - Timor Lorosa'e (single origin coffee from East Timor) and Café Estima Blend(tm) (a blend of washed coffees from Latin America, Indonesia and East Africa) for $9.95 for a 250 gram bag.To find your local Starbucks store visit www.starbucks.com.au
