Upcycled Handwoven Cloak for Robbie Burns Statue, Dunedin
Friday 24th April 2pm Robbie Burns Statue, the Octagon, Dunedin, NZ Senorita AweSUMO creates 'Who Made My Clothes?' a hand woven cloak for Robbie Burns made from upcycled t-shirts, highlighting ‘fast-fashion’ and the global increase of textile waste in landfills. This textile installation is accompanied by an expert panel that will discuss contemporary ethical and sustainable fashion initiatives to put people, purpose, and planet ahead of profit.
